Here's another of those examples from my throw-aways that illustrates poor images of herps.  Do you see at least 3 problems here, and possibly others?

no eye contact, closed eyes, cut-off tail, and that thing under its nose distracts you a bit ( for me I kept trying to figure out what it is).

1.0 bearded dragon (Drake)
0.0.2 leopard gecko (Athena and Apollo)
0.0.1 occelated skink (Zahara)
0.0.2 wood frogs (Cloak and Dagger)

Its eyes are closed. And theres something under its chin. Plus part of the picture is cut off.

I'd say you've nailed it on this bad pic....

1.) The eye is partially closed with no catchlight sparkle to make it look 'alive'.

2.) The subject is cut off on the right.  It might have been OK if 1/3rd or more was cut off so it was obvious that the shot wasn't meant to show the whole animal, but in this case with only 10% or less missing, it looks stupid and distracting like I missed a little of the tail on the edge accidentally.

3.) What is that piece of distracting crud under its chin, anyway?  It almost looks like a cigarette butt (not mine -- I don't smoke), but probably isn't one because I don't even want to think that I could have been that careless to not notice something that obvious!

I think it is a cigarret butt but I can't be sure.

Anoles are like icecream. They can be sweet but, will give you brain freeze with all their strange behaviors.

If you've been playing a nine page song that you just learned how to play, your arms would hurt too!-Me in responce to my brother after I just played "Dual of the Fates".
