i have a 4 or 5 month old california kingsnake who is not the usual banded pattern. its white with 2 parales black stripes down its back and dashes of brownish black pigment on its sides. is there a name for this? will my snake keep this pattern as it gets older?

It sounds like broken bands phase.But do you have a pic because then I can be sure.

I too suggest posting pictures. Abberants are known to have striping, but they are monochrome. (Black and white)

i looked on a reptile supply online store (lllreptiles) and the bannana cal king looks a lot like mine except mine has more striping. it might be a broken stripe black and white king. i'm surfing the web for pix as i type this.... i cant find any pix of it so i will send some of my own pix of my king soon.
