Is there any equipment I should bring besides a snake hook and water? Does any body know where there is dencer populations of Chuckwallas? Anything would help.

umm as of right now lots of water a snake hook and u have to get out there way early to get chucks i live in apple valley and we catch huge ones all the time u gotta hit big rocky out crops big boulders u know their there cuzz of the fecal matter left on jus the top of rocks

if u gunna look for snakes to then frm like 10pm to 3am is the only good time to go its way to hott before that

Early morning also works well. I've found a lot of Akistrodon spp. juveniles around the hours of 6-9 am, right about day break. The A. contortrix are usually emerging from small snags with leaf litter, and A. picivorus are in Mangroves in Lick Creek Park, Texas.
