uvb bulbs that must be replaced every 6 months

if you use reptisun you only need to change it every year

Ponds aren't an option for me... it just costs way too much. It'll also tempt me to put in kois

I use reptisun and I still replace every 6 months. I don't care what the package claims, I'm not taking any chances.

thats ok but,down at the petstore i go to they change there uvb lights yearly & there beardies,anoles,savs,& blue tongues are all perfectly healthy

maybe they only change it once a year because of the costs...

the reptiles may look fine, but not in optimal shape if changed every 6 months...

the beardies & anoles have great color,breed very well,& feed great same with the savs & blue tongues except they don't breed them

Ponds don't have to be expensive. You could use a large cattle water tank with a pump that pumps water to a bucket that holds those filter pieces ( you're into fish so you should have seen them before) and another pump that could pump to a water fall or straight back into the pond. It's not too difficult. This could stay above ground of you could dig a hole. Just make sure that the water level is four or five inches below the edge so they can't get out. Then you could pet a few plants in and get creative. I plan to put one in after I make space.
