Hello! I'm new to this site. I subscribe to Reptiles Magazine and it mentioned this site so I had to check it out! I am currently on a couple other sites: repticzone, reptilegeeks, and beardeddragon.org-all with same user id. My hubby and I currently have a small zoo! We have 3 female beardies. Ino is about 4 months old and she was purchased at the Hamburg, PA reptile show August 2nd, she is a sandfire red/gold. Ayasha is about 1 1/2 years old and I got her a week ago from a friend of mine who rescued her from back living conditions: she lived in a 5 gallon tank and was fed a couple of mealworms a week, she is about the size of maybe a 5-6 month old-she is a pig and loves her food, not sure of her morph. Hinata is an adult rescue and is about 5 years old. My brother and I got this girl 2 weeks ago and she was near death, we fattened her up and now she is living with me-they have a huge breeding project and we want to make sure she gets a ton of tlc which she will with me full time. My brother and his wife currently have 7 adults (2 males and 5 females), 1 juvenile female-about 4 months old, 7 four week olds, and 13 eggs cooking that should hatch in about 2 weeks. We are up to our eyeballs in beardies but we just love them SO much! I will be starting to breed frilled dragons as soon as I can find a nice breeding pair. I love all animals and have the following (list always subject to change!): 1 cat - Tweeter - male 1 flemish giant rabbit - Dooney - female 3 beardies - Ino, Ayasha, & Hinata - female 2 mississippi map turtles - Bowser (male) and Salmanelly (female) - these are hubby's 5 fire belly toads - Kermit (only male) and the females: Bombina, Scuba Steve, Keroppi, and Koroppi 1 paddletail newt - Popito - female 1 betta - Cobalt - male 2 apple snails 9 freshwater clams a bunch of ghost shrimp a bunch of mollies hundreds of nasty crickets! can you tell I do not like bugs! I have owned and bred so many different types of animals in my life and would love to have my own pet store some day or even a zoo! Well guess that's enough for now-long post! After I figure out how to upload pics (haven't even tried yet) I'll get some on of my babies. Thanks, Angel

Hi & Welcome to Reptile Channel! Nice collection you have there! I have a question, how do you know the sex on the firebelly toads? I have 2 firebelly toads, and they are among the newest additions to my herp family, along with 5 baby Dumpy treefrogs, & 3 Kenyan Sand Boas! LOL. And I haven't looked up information on how to determine frogs, sex. Any help would be greatly appreciated. And again welcome to a great forum! ~Marine

| Thanks everyone! Yeah hubby and I are Naruto fans. He has like every episode/movie plus I just got him the shippuden series-it's in Japanese but at least there are subtitles! About the fbts sexing-look at their back feet-the males will have webbing the entire way up their toes and the females will have webbing up on part way and they will have a longer middle toe, males will also croak (sounds like a little puppy barking) and they will also grab into the back/legs of the females-it's called amplexus. I knew I had 1 male and 2 females and I was hoping the 2 babies would be females and they are! Males will also have nuptials pads on their front legs when it is mating season-hard to tell though! PS-the smiley waving is from another site-I copied it and pasted it here.

Subtitles are the only way to go! The way 4kids and Viz mess things up. My fiance has a Sasuke Shippuuden cosplay, and he decks himself out with our live snakes.
