Well we finally picked up a cobalt blue tarantula and I have to say I have seen them before and think that they are awesome color. I had to take pictures because I know when we put it in her permanent cage that we will rarely see her. Yes we know it's a female because only the female is blue.

I just wanted to add that these tarantulas are not for beginners. As you can see in these pictures that it didn't take much for her to give a threat display. If you want to handle a tarantula this is not a species for you. This species of tarantula is burrower. A lot of times in pet stores you will see this tarantula out because most of the time they don't have enough substrate and but doing this also stresses them out. It is hard to sell something if the customers can't see it.

Bearded Dragon
5 Viper Geckos
Sinaloan Milksnake
82 Tarantulas and counting
Albino Pacman Frog
4 Birds
dwarf hamster
Male Betta
Baby red devil/Midas cichlids
7 gallon nano reef tank
125 gallon freshwater tank.

When you say striped knee do you mean Aphonopelma seemani or another common name, Costa Rican Zebra? Here is a picture of one, but it isn't ours.

Ours is a brown phase named Psycho. She is down right aggressive. She has gotten better over the year that we have had here but she is not one that we handle at all. She does have a cool tunnel. I have a picture of that but it is on another computer.

Wow!! I know this sounds weird, but I'm a slight arachnophobe...I have no problem with them unless they touch me...(shivers)...so, for me to say "that's a beautiful spider!!" must mean you've found an awesome specimen!!

No, that isn't weird. I find spiders fascinating, but I'm scared of them-yes actually scared.
