The petstore I worked at had a Monster electric blue cray fish in the koi tank. The thing was at least 7"+. I would have botten it when the store closed but it died in a molt.

KingRex (8/17/2008) The petstore I worked at had a Monster electric blue cray fish in the koi tank. The thing was at least 7"+. I would have botten it when the store closed but it died in a molt. We have a couple of Blues in the Marine Lab. A lot of them do die in molt, usually in the last molts before the terminal. I don't think it's a genetic failure to thrive, because their breeding is semi-prolific. But yes, they do get on the high end of a foot.

| My dad keeps them in with the minnows at his work. The minnows are bred to be released in ponds where mosquitoes are breeding to help keep the population down. The crayfish Eat any that have died in the tanks. Almost all of the crayfish are 4 or 5 inches long and about half of them are electric blue. The other half is brick red.

I live for what Steve Irwin stood for. If the world was full of people like him, it would be a better place.

I would love to keep crayfish, but I would have to get a water pump and I don't want to spend my money on that.

| Not really that expensive, but Fish Channel is where you would want to ask about crawfish. Here is what you will need: 10 Gallon Tank: $10 Hood with Lights: $20 Filter: $15 Gravel: $5 Live or Plastic Plants: $10 Food: $3 Rocks, Driftwood, Caves, etc.: $10 Crawfish: $0.10 - $50 They are really easy, you could also buy feeder minnows to feed him. Like buy 20 (would be about 3 dollars) and just have them all swimming around and he would eat them as he wants.
