Hi, I was wondering, what is the best way to sell ball pythons. Is it on the internet, at shows or any other. Plus, do you need a permit for selling these?

Thanks.

Congrats on your interest in breeding and selling Ball Pythons. But, just a note of caution here? I believe you have a better chance of actually WINNING THE LOTTERY, than doing well enough in your reptile breeding efforts to make enough money at it, equivalent to a living income/wage! There are very few, hugely successful reptile breeders out there, making the 'big bucks' by breeding and selling their animals. Might be best to enjoy this effort as a sort of sideline, to an actual job or career that will support you well enough to enjoy this hobby?
Anyway...... you will probably have the most success in moving your Ball Pythons by energetically doing, what amounts to all of the ideas you mentioned above. On the internet you can possibly make a bit more money - but, it's a huge effort to correspond patiently and correctly with potential buyers, then go to all the work to ship the animal(s) out properly to them after the sale. You've got to be flexible, and have the capacity to hold onto your baby reptiles for long periods of time, if you want to get top dollar for them. Being able to sell in onesies and twosies to interested individuals will take a lot more work, but will make you more money in the long run, (And it is definitely sometimes more rewarding to sell to someone who is genuinely interested in your animals - than to just a bottom-feeding dealer who is only really looking out for the potential, later profits of a later sale).

Nope. No signature for me today, thanks.....

I will be breeding and selling BPs soon. For starters, sell them on your local craigslist, hoobly, or put them in a newspaper add.

...I look out for you, you look out for me...

Just to let everyone know, I am Reptile_Dude...I just changed my username.
