First off OMG my beardies are mating as I type, ROFLMAO! Well I love both turts & torts, I have 2 turts & 2 torts, so far! My turts are a bit skiddish-splashing into the water every time someone comes too close to their enclosure, even tho I have had them for about 3 years - they were both unwanted rescues. My torts are very friendly, they look at me when I talk to them, they seem to know their names, etc, the redfoot was an unwanted rescue I have had for 2 years, & the sulcata I bought last year for my birthday ~Marine

Tortoises - They are on dry land, instead of having to maintain a 'fish tank'.

I just purchased a Eastern Hermanns. What kind of setup do you have? I am looking into an extra heat source along with the light. Do you know anything about heat mats?
Thanks

| I Love all torts and turtles. I have 4 torts and one turtle but our collection will grow as our means to care for them increases. mylargest and oldest tort. sulcata, named oscar is 12 pounds and growing fast. we live in the northeast so careing for torts in the cold is a challenge but ai am proud to say I have a better set up ( more natural ) than most of the zoos i have seen. torts rule i can watch them for hours.
