Well it does cost a lot of money to start one. But people pay $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ for anti-venin. I don't know myself I have never had an anti-venin bussiness.

Well, first off you'd have to have spp. that you know locals will need anti-venom for, have to have a large number of snakes to milk, large refridgerators to hold stuff, a large amount of pigs and horses to breed the antibodies, tons of needles and probably a large animal vet on hand.
It would be a major undertaking, probably needed a small fortune to start it up. And after a couple of months to years in the red, maybe you'll get out. That is if there's a high demand at hospitals to by your anti-venom. If people aren't getting bit, you don't get paid...
So, you'll have to find a way for people to get bit...
Rest in Peace Odin!!! Your life may have not meant anything to those that abused you; but you meant everything to me. You will be missed my little friend. 2.2 Savannah Monitors (Loki, Freya, Saga, Thor) 0.1 Albino California Kingsnake (Rin) 1.0 California Aberrant Kingsnake (Haku) 1.1 Three-toed Box Turtles (Bowser, Genba) 1.0 Red-Ear Slider (Iggy) 0.1 Snow Corn Snake (Sakura) 0.1 Sulcata Tortoise (Casca)

| antivenom is not made that easy, its not as simple as milking a snake injecting a horse and getting av. the people that milk snakes dont make the av, you need a lot of lab equipment for venom production which i have read from people that do venom production that it would cost like $50k alone, then you figure you need 100s and 100s of snakes to milk just to get enough to be worth doing it. snakes would probably need to be dna tested to make sure they where the speices they where supposed to be and not a cross breed. i believe jim harrison at the kyreptilezoo milks 500 snakes a week. thats a lot of venomous snake handling so you better be good at it. they people that are doing venom production are doing it enough that there is really no need for anyone to try and start up a business.
