Everything is ready for the arrival of my white's tree frogs but I had a few questions maybe an expert can answer... First, I got a heating pad for the back and a full spectrum lighting fixture, should I put both on a 12 hour timer? I don't think the room will fall below 65 degrees at night, more than likely it will be around 70. Would this be ok or should I leave the heating pad on? How often should they eat pinky mice? When they do eat them should I feed them less for the few days after or continue normal feeding? What do you think about offering wild caught insects? I can catch a lot of moths and other insects, would they make a good varied food staple? Are there any lizards, frog’s or any other type of herp that would be able to live in the same enclosure? Thanks in advance for any assistance...

Okay, the light should be on a 12 hour timer, the heat pad on the other hand, should on 24/7. They will eat pinkies when they are pretty much full grown, I would suggest feeding them that every 1-2 months, and you should probably skip a feeding day after. I would stick to produced insects, wild, especially ones that can fly, might contain harmful pesticides, fertilizers, ect. Its not worth the risk. +

Shouldn’t the temperature drop to simulate nighttime temperatures? Also what about getting another species of tree frog at some point...Some sites I've seen say that this works pretty well. I was thinking 2 whites and 1 green treefrog?

Well, you could try to put the heat pad on a timer, but you should monitor and look how much it drops. I used a 25 watt light also to provide heat, also.
As for mixing. Its still a no. People will say you can mix, cause its cool and things like that. But have you ever compared a full-grown white's and green tree. There's a difference. And White's eat almost anything too. Its just not good to mix them, herps are herps, not community fish
