This may be a dumb question but what is the difference between a bearded dragon and a Rankins Dragons

The Rankins Dragon is a sub-species of the Bearded Dragon.

They are smaller, and to me, their heads looks more circular. Especially near the tip of the mouth.

Pogona vitticeps and Pogona brevis are both members of the genus commonly reffered to as "Bearded Dragons". There are also others in this same category (look here for more information: http://www.sandfiredragonranch.com/animals/index.html). The whole genus is nearly identical in care and husbandry in captivity. Rankin's Dragons just stay 10"-12", instead of 18"-24".
