I wouldn't call this weird, but one day my gopher snake went after a live mouse. It ran underneath the water dish with the snake in hot pursuit. After the mouse dug itself out from underneath the bowl, the snake slammed it into the side of the water bowl and just kept pressing till it was dead. Note that the snake did this by feel. His head was under the water bowl. In the wild gophers kill rodents by pressing them into the walls of their burrows. It was cool to witness this behavior in captivity.
