I would loooooooooooooooooooooove a crocodilean forum. I speacilize in thiese animals. They is really cool. I would also enjoy a tuatara forum and a conservation forum.

The Amphisbaenia are a suborder of usually legless squamates closely related to lizards and snakes. As many species possess a pink body coloration and scales arranged in rings, they have a superficial resemblance to earthworms. They are very poorly understood, due to their burrowing lifestyle and general rarity. Most species are found in Africa and South America, with a few in other parts of the world. Little is known of them outside of their anatomy, and even that is difficult to study due to the mechanics of dissecting something so small.

Some families of Amphisbaenia, like Bipedidae still have front limbs.

they only make up 2% of all reptiles so,it isn't surprising they don't know about them

they are 140 known species there rarely seen above ground they have a rounded body & short blunt heads & tail both ends look very similar giving it the nickname "cobras de duas cabecas" meaning snake with 2 heads the largest one rarely exeeds 2ft

So now, they have been given a sub-order that branches off from the squatamata. There are 140 known kinds of worm-lizards, almost all of them are limb-less. But, there is one kind that has 2 limbs in the front and none in the back. These animals got the name worm-lizard becouse as a rule, all these animals have long bodys with scales that are aranged in circils that continue all around the body. The tails of all these animals end in blunt mimics of the head. All of the worm-lizards are burrowing animals and feed mostly on worms. Erthworms to be exact. The largest worm-lizard is known as the red worm-lizard (amphisbaena alba). This animal can grow to be over 20in long.

That would be a nice forum. But since alost every forum on this site talks about herps care, what would we talk about on this forum? I mean no one has an amphisbanion right?

doesn't matter. Adding new topics will never be an old topic. The can always change things. The whole "old topic" thing really isn't relevant here.

Anyhow..there ought to be a topic involving site help. For people having trouble navigating the site, or people who want to discuss past contests and such.

you should have one for home made cages where pepole can share there plans for cages some commercial cages for larger animals is way to expensive it might help those that aren't as handy and give some good ideas to those that are

I think categories for arachnids, scorpions, and stuff like giant millipedes, or centipedes would be helpful. I know they aren't herps, but alot of people that have herps have insects too. Wht does narbc stand for. North american reptile breeders conference, and insects aresold there too.

A section with common ailments of herps that's easy to navigate. The medical section we have just has e-mails with the vet responding to them. Takes a lot of time to read through all that.

Hi herpkeepers,

We are in the early stages of developing our new website ReptileChannel.com and we would like some input from you.

When we migrate the message boards to the new site, we will have the ability to add new forum categories. So we can add categories like "Introductions" where new people can introduce themselves, etc.

We will probably have general category heads for Snakes, lizards, turtles/torts, and amphibians; but what specific areas would you like in each? Health, care, lighting, feeding, general, etc?

Let us know by posting on this topic.
