I actually can not find anywhere to get live pinkies here in Waco, closest is 100 miles away... ugh! I had tried braining, no luck. I finaly ended up force feeding her a small lizard tail lastnight.

Tell me about a pinkie pump... I have a childs medicine syringe... how do i prepair the pinkie?

I hate to do this but it's getting to the point that I feel she will not make it much longer and honestly it's stressing me out!

RE: Hi ALL =) newbie here!

Hey welcome to the forums. Hey, did you had any problems getting your KSB to eat when he/she was young? Mine is going on 2 months now w/o eating and it's stressing me out! I have tried every trick I have heard of... I'm really worried she's not going to make it. Any tips??

What kind of substrate have you found to work best? I have heard sanitized playground sand and to keep it kind of moist... I am using a combo right now of Zoo Med Repti Sand on the hot side of the tank and Zoo Med Repti Bark on the cooler side... she seems to be okay with both. And do you keep a moisture box in the cage for yours?

Sorry I am asking all these questions, but care of this KSB is much different than my Gopher was and I am worried that she's not going to make it...

Oh, also... did yours have any problems molting? I had to give mine several warm baths in order to help her out...

Any tips on KSB care would be GREATLY appreciated!

RE: Hi ALL =) newbie here!

Reptile_Dude (9/10/2008)
You're from MN?
