I can sympathize with you on the pine need sticking. Semi-moist amphibs sure do attract little pieces of stray crud well. I'm just back from a short trip to California and Arizona and took the pic below one night north of Phoenix. Two friends were holding flashlights on this canyon treefrog (Hyla arenicolor) as I took pix, and I didn't even notice the tiny rock chip stuck on its chin. Fortunately, it'll be easy to fix in Photoshop.

RE: Some anuran pics...

Thanks you.

RE: Some anuran pics...

Very cute frogs! Did you get any pics of H. versicolor's orange thighs? That's my favorate part. Those, and H. squirella's disappearing spots.

My guess on the goof: the pine needle on th head?

Nope, though I really wish I could have. But he wasn't moving around and I am assuming that he wouldn't have appreciated me pulling his leg out to take a picture...

Yes. The annoying pine needle which you can see in the upper wood frog pic. Its in the same place, and just as annoying (just not as visible).

Thanks fo the nice comments.

RE: Some anuran pics...

Awesome pictures. Well, sure its green, but the species (Hyla versicolor) is the gray tree frog. Ha ha.

An american toad...

A wood frog...

This is the same frog as above, however, I am copying Bill Love's idea (oops) by asking what makes this picture (below) a "photo goof".
