I would try different camera angles and screwing with the camera settings since it greatly effects the picture, and will allow you to take better pics.

One important thing to remember when doing nature photography is: DO NOT BE AFRAID TO GET DIRTY!!!! If you have to get down on your stomach and crawl through some mud or perhaps have to wade into some murky water...if its for a better picture (actually if a picture is good enough it is known as a photograph-pictures are pictures while photographs are beyond a picture in many ways) its worth it. Trust me.

RE: turtle and frog pics(new pics)

good news i found the cord and here are the pics!

please rate and comment!!

RE: turtle and frog pics(new pics)

sorry guys but i might not have the pics until tomarrow if i cant find the cord for the camera

RE: turtle and frog pics(new pics)

the pics will be on by 8:30 i hope

RE: turtle and frog pics(new pics)

Awsome. What river were they photographed in? What state were you in? Can you tell us anything else about the experience, like how close were you when the pics were taken?; map turtles are pretty skittish and seldom let you approach very closely. Your shot of the big female (with the thick head) is quite good considering you were probably far away.

We appreciate your post, and would urge you to submit more. Adding some details to your post will give viewers something else to comment about besides 'Nice pics'.

Here's a close-up (from captivity) of what I think the large turtle in your pics is...

RE: turtle and frog pics(new pics)

it is a good spot to bask thats why we go there to look for turtles. one time when we went up there and there was a guy with a bucket with 2 crayfish, fish, frogs, and a baby turtle! he said he was gonna put them in a big tank........

RE: turtle and frog pics(new pics)

we saw about 3 or four different species

RE: turtle and frog pics(new pics)

Cool.
