I wasn't aware of an african variant for the False Water Cobra, only the rear-fanged (Very mildly venomous) Colubrid from South America, primarily Brazil - Hydrodynastes gigas
-

Photo courtesy of William B. Gillingham, Great Valley Serpentarium
-
Here is a very nice looking female specimen of this species. It's out from it's enclosure for a look-see, (Note handler's protective gloves),

Photo courtesy of Simon Goldsborough, The Tarantula Store, (UK Forum)
-
And a head detail photo of another captive-bred female of this species,

Photo courtesy of Mikhail F. Bagaturov, The Tarantula Store, (UK Forum)

These snakes have a (deserved apparently) reputation, as being 'bitey' and pretty unpredictable captives to handle, as do just about all water-loving snakes. They are quite beautiful animals, though..... Was your snake Isis, actually a Brazilian False Water Cobra, Hydrodynastes gigas?

RE: egyptain False water cobra for sale

Good news!
