Well it seems that "The Herptile Master" has been starting all the weekly topics because nobody else has. It seems that we all(including me) have forgotten that we are taking turns. So I guess I'll start the new topic this week. The topic is the reptile channel rewards. They have added new things onto the list, such as herptivite and calcium with D3. What do you think of the Reptile Channel rewards?

Not enough items?
Sick of them being out of cricket care kits?

This week we will be debateing the identity of this unknown crocodilian.

The web site that i got the picture from had about half a dozen comments about this guy. And they could not agree on what this guy was. Some people say crocodile, some say mutant gator, some people say a hybrid of some sort. And that it was traits of both croc and gator. What do you guys think???

Since it is the middle of the week and nobody has made a new topic, i will start one. This week, we will talk about the ever evolving man eating snake deabte. I have a few pics and feel free to post your own. We will examene and eaither support or debunk diffrent stories and pictures. Ok here are my pics.

The picture at the top really has no story. It kinda just appred on the internet one day. The one above is of a reticulated python eating a man. The story is that the man was walking throught the forest for reasons unknown. And he went missing for sevrle hours. No one knew where he was. Then, a local police officer saw this grusome sght and shot the snake dead. Then took the picture. Apprently, there was a odtopsy and it proved that nearly every bone in the mans body was broken. The officer who found them said the snake was trying to eat the man. What do you think???

Since its been a good week now and NO new topic has been posted, i will start this weeks topic. This week,we will be talking about herps. But not just any herps. Herps that are anything but ordinary. Herps that stand out in a crowd. Herp with deformitys. Herps that are mutants or freaks if you will. Pics, storys, what ever. But they have to be true, real and most of all anything but ordinary.

i sure hope I start this right. so if there is on thing I hate, it would be herp fights on you tube. they video tape a fight between to herps and post it for all to see? I dont know how many times a write comments on them yelling at thoes creeps that put it up. thoughts? opinions?

Ok this week we are continueing last weeks discussion. Now as you all may know, the ban is really close to banning not just pythons but to banning all herps. So i think that we should continue to talk about this. Maybe even find out a way to help prevent this. ok lets start on this urgent matter.

This is my topic. In the reptile industry, you tend to hear a lot about pythons and boas are kind of like an after thought.

If I was interested in getting either a boa OR a python, which would be better, and why?

Which group do you prefer, and why?

Which group is easier, and why?

Finally, which species out of your preferred group would you recommend to prospective buyers? (Which boa or python is most affordable/easy to care for?)

I know that here in Oregon we do yearly beach clean ups. What do people in other states do to help with conservation efforts?

I use biodegradable dish soap and hand soap instead of other products that can hurt the environment. What are some simple things that everyone can do to help conserve the environment?

First of all I'm very sorry for not getting this up sooner. I had Drill this past weekend and have been caught up in school ever since and didn't get a chance to come on here until tonight...only to realize to my horror that I didn't put this up in time! So sorry for that.

Since we haven't had a topic started yet, and it's getting late, I figure I'll just start a little topic for you, to tie you over until Monday.

So, in what ways can YOU help with conservation and education. Obviously not all of you can go out and conduct expensive research and lobby, but what are the little things that you've done or that others can do to help the herps?

If you don't do anything, why not? Do you read news articles about endangered species and feel sad, but take no action? Do you think that we are all responsible?

Share what you do to help herps as a whole and the little ways you think others can help too. Actions speak louder than words!

Well i wasn't quite sure what to do for a topic but you know being GECKODUDE i thought it would be a good idea to have an ALL gecko topic. So from geckos to rocky habitats to deserts to the tropics we'll discuss them all. We will discuss habits to favorite morph, whatever you want.

So here is me.

I am thinking about getting a crested gecko. Actually i know i am. I really like crested geckos. But i do like leos more probably. My favorite morph is the enigma.

I decided that the week 22 topic will be about mutations of reptiles and amphibians. Not color morphs. Body mutations: extra limbs, extra heads, Siamese twins, etc.

Mine is about a bearded dragon (or two?) named Zak-n-Wheezie. Zak-n-Wheezie is now a year old and is doing great. Except Zak-n-Wheezie is not a normal beardie... he (they?) have two heads! They're (he is?) really cool.

Since this is a constant fight I thought it would be interesting to do. Ex: Whats better beardies or leos. So try to make a list of the best herps and discuss them. Ex: 1. Ball Python 2. Bearded Dragon 3. Sandfish Skink. 4. Reticulated Python 5. Cape Cobra (Those are just the herps I thought of one the spot.)

Hi, this is my first RHC topic, so sorry if it stinks. Anyway, let's get started. . Anyway, you might know that Madagascar rivals Australia in its herp uniqueness. This topic will be all about panther chameleons, carpet chams, Malagasy chams, other Madagascar chams, day geckos, Madagascan hognose snakes, leaftail geckos, Dumeril's ground boas, mantella frogs, Madagascan Plated lizards, tomato frogs, or any other Madagascan herp that you can think of. I know I'm a day early but I've got bunch of tests on monday & probably a ton of homework so I might not be able to get to the computer. Anyway I've decided this weeks topic to be on when your herp bit,scratched,hissed at you,etc... . Have you ever been pooped on thats never fun?
