I suppose that my first herp was a green frog caught when I was three, on a vacation at Twin Lakes Mountain Lodge in Kingston, NY. That was followed a year later by a pair of (*sigh*) dime-store baby red-eared sliders. But in terms of the herps that I consider a serious, intentional, and planned acquisition AFTER I became fixated on herpetology, it was a pair of common green anoles when I was nine.

RE: What was your first herp?

I know that almost everyone starts with one, but a leopard gecko.

RE: What was your first herp?

My first is my Ball Python, PJ <3
