Despite their looks Leopard and African Fat Tailed Geckos are entirely different herps and need much different care. Could you post some photos of your gecko so we can figure out what kind you have?

The cage can be relatively dry; just provide a humid hide to stimulate the humid burrows these animals would normally rest in. This is easily accomplished by placing a "cave" of some sort in the cage with damp moss or paper towels in it.

first of all if it is a leopard gecko, it shouldnt have its cage humid at all as it can cause infections. the cage size is perfect by the way

First off, I have a Lepard ( or Fat Tail) Gecko

I have a 20 Gal Long tank with sand (calci) with a hide rock, branches, food and a medium sized water bowl. I am having problems keeping the humidity up in the tank- Its generally 15-20 percent.

My question is:

How do I keep the humidity up tp the 30% range consistantly? Should I place a damp spounge in the tank?

I've been spritzing the tank a couple times a day. The trmp is keep in the range of 83-90 F The hood is Zilla "All in one Lighting" 30".
