The breeder friend of mine who gave her to me says she was genetically flawed because this species wasn"t supposed to have a fat tail. Anyway, she's always hiding in her cave, so I never noticed she was having any problems. I don't think I'll get another. I still have three corn snakes and a ton of mice (I've been breeding my own for five years now-it's a whole lot cheaper).

RE: Passing of lizzy

Thank you.

RE: Passing of lizzy

That sucks. Sorry for your loss. I have to ask when did you notice that she was retaining sheds and did you try to correct the problem? Any plans on getting another.

RE: Passing of lizzy

Sorry for your loss...

Passing of lizzy

Today I lost my best friend, Lizzy the leopard gecko. Upon examining her, she was having trouble removing her skin during her last few sheds over her head, thereby starving. She will be missed. Services at 10 a.m. Friday. Bye Lizzy. Have a good time in lizard heaven.
