He just hasn't pooped. When I moved him into his first tank, it took him 3 days before he pooped. Since I'm only feeding him every other day, I figured it would take 6.

He's never had problems on the mealies before, and those are his favorites. But I'll switch to crickets if that is what is required.

What are some of the signs he's impacted? He's acting normal, and eating normal, he just won't poop. Should I take him to the vet? Or just switch to crickets?

RE: Leopard Gecko not pooping

Yes.Have u ever seen him lick the bottom of the tank or the sides? If you have, clean the tank.Or continue the diet but leave out the mealworms, they could cause him to impact.

RE: Leopard Gecko not pooping

Could he get impacted on the food I'm feeding him? He doesn't really like crickets now, but I'll buy them if it gets him better.

I don't think that there's anything in the tank he could eat besides the food. Maybe the moss in the humid hide? But I've never even seen him in there...

Any other suggestions?

RE: Leopard Gecko not pooping

He might be impacting.Id reccomend to start using crickets in boxes available at petsmart or start using crickets.it is their natrual food.Hope he gets better

Leopard Gecko not pooping

Hey.

My leopard gecko has not pooped in 6 days. I just moved him into a new 55-gallon tank with enough hides so he isn't stressed, but not too many so he's cramped. But he's pooped in the tank before, so that's why I'm worried.

The temperatures are appropriate, at 90 degrees on the warm side, and 78 degrees on the cool side during the day. At night, the temperature drops down to 78 degrees. He is on reptile carpet and he gets 8 worms (phoenix, silk, and the mealworms) every other day. He greedily eats them all. He gets calcium every other feeding and he has a calcium dish. He gets a multivitamin about once a month. Thanks in advance to everyone that replies.
