| So I'd like to start a biz breeding select herps and selling them online, among other ventures in the herp biz. I applied online for some grants at grantsgov.info and received a call a few days later. The rep told me when all is said and done, I could get up to 200,000 bucks. Yup. Catch is they have to take 375 bucks from my checking acct. for the lawyers fees (its a grant brokerage firm...apparently...) etc. I think it might be a scam, checked out the United Economic Agency (the brokerage firm) via BBB and came up with very little. There hasn't been a (-) report or complaint as of yet. Still, I'm skeptical. Thus, I checked out the Small business association of America's site. It sucked. Wasn't very helpful. Does anyone know if grants even exist for an unemployed vet like myself, looking to start something lucrative? Any help would be great...

| I wouldn't do it sounds like a scam You can apply for grants for free so I do not see a reason for paying anything Unless it is to a professional grant writer to write it up for you

grants.gov is a good site to lookup grants. I am not sure where to find the grant writers but I know they exist
