| I'm not sure what a pleco is...an algae eater? toothbrush...can i use it after i get the algae off? lol ew

| Plecos are a type of fish that eat algae. They would not do well at all in that set up. Most types of plecostamous you will see will grow to over a foot long at alarming rates. Do not get a pleco. Yep, scrub it with a toothbrush until all the algae comes off. That is the only way to get rid of it. In the future, provide less light to that area and give it a weekly scrub with the toothbrush to avoid another outbreak of algae like this one.

| Yea, plecos are those alagea eating weird fish. Do you have a filter? That can help, also another way of preventing alagea from growing is cleaning the cage often with, like Maximum said, a tooth brush or any type of brush. You have to use some elbow grease though... Geez Grant, you posted when I was posting....

I clean the tank every week, i do have a filter. I clean the tank every Saturday, thanks for the help

MOST plecos get over a foot long...not all 
but a lot of the cool lookin little ones are expensive, and toad toxins did not cross my mind, i'm not an amphibian keeper obviously lol
