I wonder what would happen if you bred a Brazilian rainbow boa to a Colombian rainbow boa, would you get brazillans or colombians? or a mix of them? or a Argentinean rainbow boa that would be cool. but that won't happen what do you think??????????????????????

Its been done. Theres nothing too special about it. They have traits from both parents, how much influence varies for each individual.

If you would breed them they would be hybrids.

Yeah you would just get another hybrid and you better label it as such or people will get pissed off, even if it looks like a Brazilian or a Columbian, it's not.

Some people have a conniption over hybrids because they aren't "pure" and a lot of [refrain from using profanity] people will label them as such. and a lot of people have ethical issues with it as well....something about it not being natural..... even though NOTHING about keeping snakes in captivity is natural....NOTHING about selectively breeding color morphs that might actually inhibit the animals survival is natural.
Hybrids do occur in the wild, even sometimes with the most unlikely of species, even with animals from two different parts of the world...over time at least...
There is nothing wrong with hybrids.... just be careful who you talk to cause there will always be someone who thinks he's an elitist and "pure" animals are better than abomination hybrids.... -_-

Um Sinkarnate, that was very hurtful. They are impure and should NEVER be produced and reproduced. Look at the carpet complex, totally screwed up because some moron decided to breed his brendlis to his jcp. And now we will never again have pures. they get mislabled and pollute the beautiful animals gene pool is forever ruined for future generations. So please, please, PLEASE dont hybridize

Your missing a big point that Sinkarnate made. Read it over again.

that doesn't mean you shouldn't hybridize! That just means that you need to make sure people know what your selling! ALWAYS label it for what it is, and in this case it would be a columbian X brazilian rainbow boa. just don't try to pass it off for something it's not. Just because some idiot doesn't label his right doesn't mean the rest of the world shouldn't do what he did. and believe it or not intergrades and hybrids DO occur in the wild. Rat snakes and corn snakes cross breed all the time. garters, rattlers, nerodia, and kings all breed with others of their species and on very rare occaisions you can actually find garter snake X water snakes or other variations. It DOES happen. and over the course of time with the continents moving, many animals that normally wouldn't cross other will when their home collides with another and then they may meet other species that they are capable of breeding with. The point is, if it CAN -by any chance of likeliness- happen, it most likely will (in nature) So why shouldn't we do it?
If mislabeling is your only problem you better find a more compelling argument....
