(African Spurred Tortoise) male, about 62 pounds. Gabriel was saved by a Boise man who found Gabriel wandering down a congested city street. He hoisted the gentle giant into the back of his pick-up and out of danger. An all-out effort was made to find his owners.

It is always difficult to hear when a sulcata is in a dangerous situation.  Your friend made a smart move in taking it out of the city situation.  I am not sure what information you are looking for, but I would look into local zoos if you are trying to find a good home.  I appreciate what your friend did for this sulcata

My Pets:

2 Sulcata African Spur Thigh Tortoises, Scooter and Orbit

1 Ferret - RIP on May 5, 2009

3 Dogs - 1 Chihuahua mix, 1 Lab and Collie mix, and 1 Blue Heeler/Austrailian Shepherd mix
