My cali king was wild-caught when he was about 1'. He is as sweet as can be, and no parasites. He has a unique reddish sheen to him, which I've never seen in any CB.

Depends on the herp. There are in some cases were getting a wild caught is the only option, and in most cases CB herps are sold too. I bought both my leo and ball python from a well trusted store that specializes in reptiles and fish.
