I want herping in saba and took a bunch of cool pics(see "awesome herptile pictures" in photographer's section). I was wondering what kind of snake this was.

Saba is a 15 minute plane ride for $250, or a 6 hour boat ride for $30 away from st.maartins,west indies. I took the boat. Here's why: we got to see a lot of flying fish. and the airport... smallest in the world. Here is a pic:

Alsophis rijersmai is the only snake in St. Maarten. It is sometimes called a racer or a grass snake (though it's not related to either type). It lives on insects, small amphibians, reptiles and warm-blooded animals.
