I've been told many times that Ball Pythons like to soak in warm water. When I tried this he did'nt act like he enjoyed it to much. When I got him out a got him dried off he wouldn't have much to do with me for the rest of the night. So I just thaught I made him mad and I never tried that again! So I was just wondering if anyone else has one that gets moody with a bath!

Okay dude, we get it. You've said that in multiple threads already. Are you trying to start a fight or make people mad or what?

But to answer Shea's question...

I doubt it was "mad" at you, as snakes aren't capable of grasping human emotions. You might have just stressed him out. Did you force him to take the bath? That may have been why he didn't enjoy it.

Put any snake in water when they are not expecting it causes the snake to freak out no matter what the temperature.  Your ball is not a dog and will not appreciate you giving it a bath. It's not needed.

The only reasons you should be soaking a snake is if it has had a bad shed or is dehydrated. Just provide a water bowl in the cage that is big enough for the snake to curl up in. He will soak on his own if he wants or needs to.

No, they do not. You have been misinformed.

I know what you mean this gets really old what are you 3 or something?Opal you say that everytime that smomeone says anything about ball pythons. You know this is just a thught but how about we all stop attacking each other and stop telling everyone else that we hate their choice in reptiles. The point i'm trying to make is we are being attack everyday by the general public and government and so called humane societys,The last thing that us herpers need is us attacking each other regardless of our choice in herps we all have the same intrest.Considering what has been going on lately don't you think we should stick together? You are entilted to your oppinion but even when you don't have someone elses blog to attack ballpythons onyou start your own.I don't care that you don't like them please just shut up about it I think most of us are tired of hearing it.I don't care for alot of amphibians I think keeping frogs as pets is pointless and I personally think that the westwern hognose is ugly and I would never own one and I don't know why anyone else would want one but I'm not in here throwing my oppinion at everyone everytime I get a chance.Sorry about the rant tired of hearing it.But to answer your question,I wouldn't worry about it my ball doesn't like to really take baths either i've put him in water a few times and he kinda freaks out.And even if i'm just giving him fresh water and it splashs up on him he takes off.And as far as him being mad they really don't have the emotions like we do so I doubt it,he was probably just kinda stresses about it.

Sorry shea that I used your thread to go off on opal like that but like I said I think most of us are tired of hearing it especially us who own balls. But I hope that my response helps make you feel a little better knowing that yours isn't the only one that acts that way.And by the way if if you see all his posts he says it all the time, and he had it coming. In my oppinion he doesn't really have the right to come on someone elses thread and attack them because they choose a reptile he doesn't like and then doesn't even answer the question.
