Okay, I know this question is going to sound silly to all those serious herps out there, but here it is: I know rat snakes eat other snakes, but what does a herp feed his/her rat snake?

Ok rat snakes eat rodents, mice, rats, or if it wont eat rodents, anoles or treefrogs, and please elaborate on what you mean by rat snakes.

And herp = reptile or anphibian
Herper = One who keeps these wonderful creatures AKA us

Ratsnakes which include corns ,eat rodents, birds or any warm blooded creature they can catch. Kingsnakes eat other snakes including venomous species in adition to birds, rodents and lizards. Other snake eating snakes include King Cobras and eastern indigos.

If you have a pet snake  like a kingsnake that will eat other snakes in the wild, just feed it rodents and it will be perfectly OK.

0.1 Mexican Black Kingsnake
0.1 Western Hognose
0.1 Childrens Python
0.1 Everglades Ratsnake
1.0 Bull snake
1.1.2 Crested Geckos
