| O.K..... I know everyone has their own opinion, but does anyone know for sure when you should breed your female leo's? I have read you can breed them at 10 months old, and then another article says to wait until they are to 2 years old. I have been told to breed them when they are 30 grams, and then told to wait until they are 60 grams. At what age and weight do you breed?

reptiles33617 (3/9/2010) O.K..... At a minimum, females should be one year old and at least 50 grams. This is a minimum though, and it might be safer to wait until she's a little bigger. 30 grams is way to small to breed at (for either male or female) and may very well result in death. It's even safer for females to be around two years old and 60 grams. Make sure you feed your female more than you usually would and make sure to supplement her at every feeding. Let me know if you have any questions!

Yeah. Different sources will say different things. That's a good decision on your part though; to wait until she's 50+ grams. Good luck with your breeding. If you have any questions, let me know!
