How does a Cuora amboinensis court and mate? Also, how could you tell a turtle has eggs?

As for courting, I'm not 100% about Cuora specifically, but most chelonians the male will follow the female, nudging her and attempting to mount her. If she is receptive, she will sit still and let him. If not, she will run away. As for telling if a female is gravid, it can be difficult. Sometimes, you can see additional bulge by the rear legs on either side of the tail, but not always. Your best bet would be to carefully observe her for nesting behavior--restlessness, digging, hiding more than usual.
