Oh forgot you asked about the boxies..I don't know what type they are. One of them looks a little different from the others...(Mazey) she is bigger & heavier & a light brown color with a real colorful face for a female box turtle. My husband found her on a job he was doing. When I have more time & figure out how,I will post some pics. Willis & Donna were babies we had from several years ago we let loose on our property of 4 acreas & last spring they came back to us in the yard. And Lucky was so named because I rescued him from speeding cars on a busy highway where he twice was almost ran over (and I had to back up in heavy traffic to get him). We love them & today we put them in a safe place because they were going into hibernation(stopped eating & staying still)..they are set for winter & I will miss them. I told them to get a good rest because I want some babies in the spring!!

that's cool that Willis and Donna came back it's really cool that you rescued Lucky, and i think Mazey might be a three toed boxie.
how did you get the rest of you chelonians?

I bought the tortoises online through captive breeders. How old is Leeloo?(and how big?) I am so looking forward to Stoney getting big..he's already grown almost twice his size as when I first got him! We are planning to build him a nice fenced shed when need be. It stays pretty warm most of the year here so he should do well outside with a little heat in the cold months(usually only late dec thru Feb).

that's cool. Leeloo is about 3 inches and under a year old, I've never actually seen Leeloo in person my sister in Colorado (her user name here is Issaksmom) is taking care of Leeloo and her brother until i have a nice spot for her, her and my other sister got Leeloo and Korben and 3 others from their uncle, the other three got sold to a pet store that the sister (that is not on here) gets food for her ball python at.

Aww..I hope you get to be with her soon..they are so fun to take care of. The thing I have the most trouble with is forcing myself to leave mine alone! I don't want to stress them out because they are just babies, but I am like a nervous new mommy..have to go look at them every five minutes!! I sure miss my boxies..I have them hibernating outside in a huge box (large landscaping rocks were delivered in it) with lots of peat moss, dirt & leaves. Come'on Spring!!

yeah, i got Nancy 2 years ago (i got her the day before my B-day) and Mayhem the 22nd of May this year, and i just can't stand the idea of hibernating Nancy yet so she and Mayhem are still out (there was no way i was gonna let Mayhem hibernate this year because it's his first year here) if i hibernated Nancy i would be checking in on her every three seconds!
i think that Leeloo will probably come and stay with me next summer, hopefully
