is walnut sand a good substrate? does it have any nutrients that a lizard could over dose? if anyone has used it let me know your review.

I'm assuming you mean crushed walnut shells. There are no good qualities about this substrate. I've never used it but everything I've ever heard about it is that it causes intestinal bleeding in lizards that accidentally ingest it. Don't use it.

It is a very coarse material that is relatively indigestible. some lizards kept at the higher end of their optimum temperature can process it without to many problems but more often than not it will rip up their insides over time.

It seems alot of people here have had a negative experience with it, I use it for my frillies exclusively and I haven't had a problem to date, been using it for about 3-4 years and I haven't had any problems. That's just me though :I
