Today I was feeding Oz, my leo, a wax worm. I was holding it and then it curled up against my finger and I felt a painful stinging. Did it bite me or sting me or something?

I don't know, thats never happened to me before, I know that mealworms bite and thats why you have to cut their heads off before you feed them to your lizard or they'll eat through their stomach (ouch)

ok, correct if im wrong, but i have seen lizards eat, and they thoroughly sqiush their victims, and i doubt if they could still be alive after the chewing, swallowing, and digestive juices of any lizard.
I live for what Steve Irwin stood for. If the world was full of people like him, it would be a better place.

Thats what I always thought to, but my vet and friends have a different opinion. If you cut their head off it still moves and can still bite. Its probably just neves though. But better safe than sorry. Thats why I always cut my bearded dragons mealworms head off

| if you can show me a pic or video with a lizard being eaten from the inside by a meal worm that would be woth some money to ALOT of people. Hundreds of Thousands- (not an exadration) of mealworms have been eaten be my lizards, even superworms be smaller lizards and they are perfectly fine!! That VET needs to have his licence reviewed! 50 Leporads 20 Beardies and MANY OTHERS!! NO PROBLEMS
