I was on my friend's patio and we saw this spider that was black with red legs.Anyone know what this is and if it's poisonous?I live in florida if it narrows it down.
Anoles are like icecream.They can be sweet but,will give you brain freeze with all their strange behaviors.  All is fair in love and war.-anonymous Click on the eggs to help them hatch!

From her description, it is not a black widow. Quit trying to scare her. Besides, if it was she would not be here typing.

Black widows have a red hourglass on their backs and are totally black otherwise. I do not think there are any venomous spiders in the US.

| Black and Brown widows live in florida which are both deadly.Also there is a spider that if it bites you,the flesh in your body shall slowly rot away and they're are venomous spiders in the USA.I didn't get any pictures because I was trying to remove lizzies in their patio plus get rid of some spider webs and who would bring and camera for that? To have a more precise description,the red started where the knees would be if a spider had knees. As for blkfirecrystal,thanks for defending me.Barley anyone does.

How big was the spider? Was the red color bright? Usually insects with bright bold colors and patterns are a warning sign to predaters.

No,it's more like a shadowy red and there can't exactly be a "bright black" can there?The spider's size?It was about...1/4 of an inch?Not sure.I didn't measure it I was too busy freaking out.
