| It should be ok as long as there is a good amount of moisture in the habitat. If its to dry he will loose his legs or worse.

You should mist the enclosure every day or two. That will be sufficient.

0.0.1 occelated skink (Zahara)
0.0.2 wood frogs (Cloak and Dagger)

| The hermit crab has been burying himself in the Eco Earth substrate. He has been eating, because I found him sitting in his food bowl the first day that I brought him home. I've never seen him drink anything, but I keep fresh water in his enclosure. I gave him some moist Romaine lettuce today in case he needs more variety of food. I'm enjoying him, but I tend to worry about him too much.

Just remember that they are nocturnal so it might be going into the water at night. Be sure to have salt and freshwater available to it. Congrats.

| Thank you for the advice. I have been making sure that he has both salt water and fresh water. Everytime that I check on him, he has borrowed in the substrate and buried himself. That seems to be his favorite thing to do. I pick him up once a day and position him on a moist leaf of lettuce to make sure he's okay. I'm keeping his substrate damp so it won't hurt him when he digs into it. This is the first hermit crab that I've owned, and I appreciate all advice that I get. I want to take good care of it.
