matt94rocks (8/5/2008) eastern narrow mouth toad. He is correct. These animals are found in a lot of diffrent habitats but they all have one thing in common, shelter and mostior. Two traits that the dog bowl had. All along i wonted to say great plans narrow-mouthed toad. But i dident know where you lived so i couldent verify that clam. but at least i know that i was very close.

eastern narrow mouth toad. Moreila Matt Looks like that species to me too. If you hear a sound after dark like the bleeting of sheep coming from flooded ditches near your home, that'll be them calling. I found an online recording of a related species from the estern U.S. that I can tell you sounds very similar to the call of the eastern narrowmouth toad. Listen to its cal on this site: http://www.californiaherps.com/noncal/southwest/swamphibians/pages/g.olivacea.sounds.html
