Their care is really simple. Coconut fiber (sometimes called Eco-earth or Forest Bedding etc..) on the dry side. You can do this by just breaking up the block or get the stuff that is already lose, or add only a small amount of water. Don't follow the directions on the package it will be a soupy mess. Have the right size container for the tarantula. You don't want to put a sling in a shoebox container. A water dish and a hide. You can even let it have a deep substrate and let it make it's own hide by letting burrow in the substrate. They are very tolerant of normal house temperature and humidity, so there is no need for a heater. You don't need a light because they are nocturnal. Feed once a week a cricket or two depending on the size of the tarantula and cricket. That's it.
- Bearded Dragon
- 5 Viper Geckos
- Sinaloan Milksnake
- 82 Tarantulas and counting
- Albino Pacman Frog
- 4 Birds
- dwarf hamster
- Male Betta
- Baby red devil/Midas cichlids
- 7 gallon nano reef tank
- 125 gallon freshwater tank.
