When you look at pictures (such as the ones posted above and Bill Love's photos) that are very good, don't think that the camera did that. Practice and skill on the photographers part tackled the image-the camera just recorded it. Now I'm not saying that there is no camera to avoid-since there are plenty-don't just go with a huge exspensive model because you've seen great pics taken with it.

don't just go with a huge exspensive model because you've seen great pics taken with it.
I do agree with you completely there. But you are serious about. I would drop the $500 and and do some reading. I love the photos I can get of my own pets. Its great.

You should, I really like that photo. The lighting especially gives it a very mysterious feel to it-like your looking at a dinosaur. Good job.
