we all should stand up against this ban. y should congress be allowed to take our pets away for some that would be like taking our children away. y does congress want to take jobs when the economy is already falling apart.  we need to be heard!! responsibily heard!!!!!

WE NEED TO STOP THESE BILLS AT THEIR SOURCE HSUS AND PETA. HERE IS ANOTHER WAY TO HELP.

Send a one page letter on club or organization’s letterhead, dated, and signed by an authorized person. Marshall's contact information is noted below.

The subject line or opening sentence should say your organization OPPOSES HR 669.

The text of the letter should include the number of members the club or organization represents, and should state clearly that your membership will be harmed if HR 669 passes.

If there is room, you may wish to add more comments, but remember, brief is best.

Unique letters are best, but a sample letter is provided below for anyone who would like a little guidance - please personalize the letter for your club or organization.

Please get your club or organization to write the letter TODAY, and deliver it to Marshall Meyers ASAP by FAX or E-mail. Remember, Marshall must have the letter by 4:00 pm, 4/21.

By email: Send a PDF of the signed letter to mmeyers@pijac.org
By FAX: Fax the signed letter to: 1-202-293-4377

Thank you for your help in opposing HR 669.

Re: (Your club or organization name) OPPOSES HR 669

Dear Mr. Chairman and Honorable Committee Members,

(Your club or organization name) OPPOSES HR 669 and we ask that you vote NO ON HR 669, and that you do not allow it to pass out of your committee.

(Your club or organization name) represents (# or approximate #) people who will be harmed by HR 669 if it becomes law.

Our members own, work with, or have businesses that provide services for, non-native animal species (give examples of the animals your members own, work with, or provide services for), which have been in this country for many years without causing harm to the environment, to native species, or to human health. Our members are responsible owners and businesses, and there is no reason to believe that the non-native species that we own, work with, or provide services for, will cause future harm to the environment, to native species, or to human health.

While the stated intent of HR 669 is to protect the environment, HR 669 will not achieve that stated purpose. Instead, HR 669 will cause great harm to non-native species both inside and outside of the US, and to the people who own them or whose businesses depend on them.

Please do not allow HR 669 to pass out of your committee.

Very truly yours,

(Signature)

(Title)
(Club or Organization)

I hear that other web sites like red tail boa.net are completly blind to this whole thing. But this dose not just consern the herps now. It conserns all non native species. This even includes the soft skins. LETS START A RIOT!!!!!!!!!!!

WE DONT NEED A BAN WE DONT NEED A BAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I live by Xtreme rules.

Ha, what can i say, some people have drugs, i have herps.
