Herptile, people will always do stupid things, especially politicians.Don't be so paranoid dude,I've learned to deal that some people naturally hate this hobby and I just do the best I can to educate people and hope to change their herp-hating ways. As,at least I think, most of us.

And unforchunatly, more people, mainly in Florida, are going to hate reptiles now because of the python strangling the little girl.Granted,it was a bad thing that it killed her,but it doesn't mean all herps are bad.

Agreed Herptile! There is always something else, HR 2811 (i think) was just recently being discussed, this one to ban the import and trade of burms across the US, not just in Florida! There is not logic at all to bans! They are trying to push it on the fact that they are "dangerous" but (by bill nelsons statistics...not sure how accurate they are -_-) only 7 people have died from pythons in the past TEN years. more people die every day from much more common captives. captive DEER are actually the most dangerous animals to keep and kill more people than ANY other captive animal regardless of whether it is exotic or not! IF they are going to ban large snakes because of a few unfortunate incidents they may as well ban all vicious dogs, horses, deer, and pigs!
