First, both of the geckos must weigh 35 grams, but most breeders recomened 40 grams. Usually they reach this weight in 10-24 months of there birthdate. Breeding conditions are having less than twelve hours of daylight eachday, having day temp. between 72-76 degrees F, and the night temp. should be as low as 65 degrees F. You should do this for about 1-2 months. During this period of time, have the female on a high calcium demand diet, so you can put a calcium/vitamen dust on there meal every other day or you can have dusted mealworms in there dish around the clock. Also have a dish of powdered calcium avabile at all times also.

Leos usualy produce multiple cluthces of 2 eggs during the breeding season. Once the female lays the eggs, put them in a incubator. To make a easy homeade incubator, purchase a submersible aquarium hetar between 75-100 watts. Place it at the bottom of a aquarium (20 gal. is recomended) and then add 1/2 to 2 inches of water above the heater. Build a platform above the water level to set your eggincubating containers on. Use plexi glass as a platform, then put some vermiculite on top of it. To control the temp. of the incubator, use a thermostate to control it. Here are the temp.

at least 79 degrees F: most ofspring will be female
between 85-87 degrees: equal or close amount of both sex
at 90 degrees: majority will be male

once the leos hatch, they wont needed to be fed after there first shed. Keep the baby leos in seperate containers (so food competiotion won't come in play). Feed them dusted vitamen/calcium 3 week year old crickets. O and there containers should contain a small water dish.

Another thing is that taking care of the babies can be a pain in the butt. Each HAS to have there own cages (shoebox size cages), feeding them, and cleaning all their cages.

Both geckos need to be over a year old and over forty grams for females and forty-five grams for males.  Both of these must be met before breeding.

Leopard geckos do not need to be wintered over, and it only hurts their health.  It is best not to brumate your leopard geckos.  Plus, that makes no sense at all.  When reptiles brumate, they do not eat at all.  So you cannot give them any calcium or high-calcium foods because they won't eat it.

Chicken egg incubators cost the same amount, but don't require as much set up and are generally more reliable than "home made" incubators.  Also, if you want males, the temperatures should be around ninety-two degrees Farenheit.

As stated before, the hatchlings should be left in the incubator and not fed until they complete their first shed, which occurs anywhere from twelve to seventy-two hours after hatching.  Keep babies in five to ten gallon tanks, individually.  Paper towels and butcher paper are the only appropriate substrates for hatchling leopard geckos.  Provide a hide or two, a water dish, and a calcium dish.  Feed four to five one-eighth inch crickets every day.
